FAQs

  • Most sites take 3–6 weeks to complete, depending on the size of the project and how quickly we get your content and photos. We’ll give you a timeline upfront so you know exactly what to expect.

  • Yes — completely. Once your site is launched and paid for, it belongs to you. We don’t hold websites hostage with hidden contracts or subscriptions. You’ll have full ownership and control.

  • Yes. Most contractors don’t want to sit at a computer writing web pages. We handle that for you. You give us the basics — photos, project details, and company background — and we turn it into professional, benefit-driven copy that sells your services.

  • No problem. We can launch your site with placeholders or stock as a temporary solution, then update it when you have real jobsite photos. Even photos from your phone are better than stock — we’ll make sure your craftsmanship shines.

  • No hidden monthly fees. The only ongoing cost is your Squarespace hosting and domain, typically around $20–30/month, which you pay directly to Squarespace. We’ll set this up for you. Any extra support from us is available only if and when you need it.

  • Yes. Every website includes trainings built just for you. You’ll be able to swap photos, update services, or add content yourself. If you’d rather stay focused on the job site, we’re always available for project-based updates.

  • Yes. Once your site is live, we can keep it working hard for you with:

    • SEO & Blogging – Get found on Google.

    • Email Marketing – Stay connected to past clients.

    • Paid Ads – Drive fast traffic when you need more jobs.

    • Monthly Growth Plans – Ongoing support to keep your website up to date.

  • We’ve worked with a lot of platforms, but Squarespace is the best fit for contractors. Here’s why:

    • Ease of Use: You don’t need to be “techy” to update your site. With Squarespace, you can swap photos, add services, or post updates without calling a developer.

    • All-in-One Platform: Hosting, security, and updates are built in — no plugins to manage, no constant updates to worry about.

    • Reliability: Squarespace sites rarely break. With WordPress, plugins can conflict and cause downtime (not something you want when clients are searching for you).

    • Professional Design: It’s fast to build clean, modern websites that showcase your work beautifully.

    • Ownership & Flexibility: You own your site, and if you ever want to grow it with SEO, blogs, or new pages, it’s simple to expand.

Squarespace gives you the balance of power + simplicity — making it the perfect foundation for contractors who want to look professional online without being tied down to complicated tech.

  • The start time for your project will depend on our current client load and how quickly you can complete your onboarding process. For exact start times, please send us an email.

We do offer rush jobs if you need something quickly. Rush jobs will be charged a 20% rush processing fee. Custom websites can be completed in 5 business days.

  • Contractors are our specialty (we know the industry inside and out), but we also love building sites for service-based businesses like real estate agents, property managers, therapists, and salons. If your business provides a service, we can help.

  • A strong contractor website includes:

    • Real jobsite photos (not stock images).

    • Clear service pages that explain exactly what you do.

    • A portfolio or gallery of past work.

    • Testimonials and reviews for credibility.

    • Easy-to-find contact info (call/text buttons and forms).

    • SEO built in so clients can actually find you.

  • Yes. A professional website is one of the most powerful tools for contractors. It works like a 24/7 sales rep — showing off your work, answering client questions, and helping you stand out from competitors. Contractors with strong websites consistently win more bids than those who rely only on referrals.

  • SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization — it’s the process of making your website show up when people search for services like yours on Google. For contractors, SEO is one of the most important ways to get steady leads.

    Here’s how it helps:

    • Local Searches: When someone types “roofer near me” or “Boise deck builder,” SEO helps your business appear in the results.

    • Credibility: Websites that rank high on Google are seen as more trustworthy.

    • More Calls & Bids: SEO brings in people actively looking to hire a contractor — not just browsing.

    • Ongoing Growth: Unlike paid ads, SEO keeps working for you long-term when you consistently post blogs, update your Google Business Profile, and keep your site optimized.

With the right SEO strategy, your website becomes a 24/7 lead machine that helps you compete (and win) against both local competitors and big-box companies.

  • AI Optimization (AIO) is the next step beyond SEO. Homeowners are asking AI tools (like ChatGPT, Siri, and Google Gemini) for contractor recommendations. AIO ensures your business information, website, and content are structured so AI assistants recognize you as the best option — putting you ahead of the competition.

  • Some contractors get calls within days of launching their site — especially if paired with Google Business or ads. For long-term, sustainable results, SEO and consistent content are key. Your website is the foundation, but marketing (blogs, SEO, social, reviews) builds the traffic over time.

  • We focus on websites, but yes — we can help you with branding too. We have a network of preferred partners we work directly with for logos, full brand kits, and marketing materials. This way, you get everything set up in one place without having to manage multiple vendors. We’ll connect you with the right people, oversee the process, and make sure your brand looks consistent across your website and marketing
